Review

There are numerous motor bike games out there, some are crappy, and some are real good. Strapping a combustion engine to two wheels isnt too much of a bad start to a game.

MX Superfly is simply like most other motor bike racing games, race or do stunts, but there is an added bonus in MX Superfly, mini games! All up there are 11 mini games, such as one called Step Up, which is a forty foot high jump, and Pizza Delivery. But they arent overly exciting and you can get sick of them very quickly. But there is a Career Mode that may keep you interested for awhile.

Carrer Mode is all about progressing through tutorials, races and mini games to earn enough cash. Getting enough money allows competition firstly in the non-proffesional season and than if you get enough money you get to race in the Pro 125 Class, and than onto the gutsy 250cc bikes. To progress you need to do such things as delivering pizzas, playing mini golf and pulling as many tricks as possible, as well as not forgetting to come on first on top of all of that.

The graphics arent exactly wonderful. Dont get me wrong though, I have seen plenty of motor bike racing games with worse graphics, but MX Superfly could certainly have better graphics. The tracks arent very well done and the character could be better detailed.

The gameplay in the game is fairly fun. I am a bit of a fan at motorcross games, and you will be playing for awhile pulling off some awesome stunts as well as racing. But as you twist open the throttle and approach the ramp, which seems to look a little small, the combo of tricks dont seem to be so heart-in-your-mouth style, like I thought the game was meant to be like. This may be because being airborne seems to be kind of floaty and all of the surfaces feel the same, theres just something a little tame about this game. Your tires dont bite into the grass or dirt, and as a result, traction and turns lack something, whereas the best extreme sport games have finely tuned physics engines and a solid weighty feel to accompany tricks and bails.

Just like just about every other extreme sports games, MX Superfly has a metal/hip hop/skate punk soundtrack. The bikes motors are fairly well done, although I have heard better. The crashing sounds seem arent very good, and the person or guy rolling along the ground dont sound wonderful either.

All up, though. MX Superfly isnt too much of a bad motorcross game, although there are plenty of areas where their needs to be improvements. If you are a fan of these games though, you will probably be playing this for awhile, but if you arent a fan, give this game a rent first.
