Will Sega stop their sport Games?

In Japan, Sega has released their financial results for the last six months. Their financial results showed that it was down 20 percent, with revnue down 3 percent, and posted a net profit of $8 million. Sega has said that it has been harder than first thought to make games as a multi platform publisher, and it's first intial plans to transition from its hardware based model were over optimistic.

Dow Jones report said that Sega is focusing improving profits in its 'loss making' sports games in the USA that Sega has had big hopes for. While Sega will not back down from their competitors Electronic Arts on other platfroms, they will completely halt Gamecube sport game devlopments as of next year.

But Gwen Marker of Sega has said that the Dow Jones report was speculative. Sega of America has said that they are currently examining the sport game lineups, to ensure that it is bring the right plans to the right platforms.
